In the 1960’s With just a couple of english words, I was what at school was called a “New Canadian”, but when you’re a kid, to make friends all you need is that, be a kid. I was talking about my Aunt giving me a black plastic statuette called Phantom of the Opera and how cool it was, so detailed that was left behind by a guy who had a rented a room at her house.
