From “Frankenstein” to Shakespeare’s play “The Tempest”, from the “War of the Worlds” to “Metropolis”, it’s hard to define with precision such a wide variety of sub-genres and themes. Rod Serling defined it as “The Improbable made Possible” and Mark C Glassy” referred to it as “You donĀ“t know what it is, but you know when you see it.”
With that note these are (independently for what they were commissioned for) what I considered Sci-Fi as / see it.
As Fantasy is for me a sub-genre of fiction. Legends of ancient writings prophesying adventures of mystic creatures like Dragons and Unicorns and Warriors of great honor with oaths till death and Princesses of awesome beauty and pure hearts.
